Our National Levels program is moving ahead in leaps and bounds of late. CONGRATULATIONS to all the coaches and gymnasts invloved in our National Levels Program for some excellent competition results over the past two weeks.

Congratulations to Lauren and Ursula who have been selected in the Level 6 NSW team and to Samantha who has been selected in the Level 8 NSW team!! These three gymnasts from the club will be representing NSW at the upcoming Border Challenge competition to be held in Caloundra, Queensland from the 16th - 19th September. This is a wonderful achievement and we wish the girls the best of luck!

Congratulations also to our National Level 1-3 gymnasts for their excellent results at the NSW State Championships which were held over the weekend. We have a new All-Around State Champion in the club, six apparatus State Champions and many place getters!! What a fantasic result, well done girls!

Our holiday program is so popular and books out each school holidays, so be sure to get your friends together and book in quickly so you don't miss out!

CONGRATULATIONS to three of our gymnasts who have been selected to represent NSW at the 2010 Border Callenge in Queensland. This is a fantastic achievement.....well done to Lauren and Ursula who have been selected in the NSW Level 6 team and to Samantha who has been selected in the NSW Level 8 team! Term 3 is flying by....it's already week 5! It is wonderful to see all our new members settling into the club and having lots of fun!

Hornsby RSL Youth Club Gymnastics recently applied for the CDSE grant, we are very pleased to announce that we have just been presented with a cheque for $2,000 to go towards the purchase of equipment for our special needs gymnastics programs! A BIG thank you must go to the Hornsby RSL Club and Board of Management for this grant and assiting us to develop our special needs gymnastics program.

CONGRATULATIONS......Hornsby RSL Youth Club Gymnastics has just been nominated for the 2009 "KINDERGYM CLUB OF THE YEAR"at the annual Gymnastics NSW Awards!! Thank you to all our hard working Kindy Gym coaches and special thanks to Jo our Kindy Gym co-ordinator for doing such a fantastic job!! If you are not already a member of this wonderful program contact us today!!

Congratulations also to our level 7 and 8 gymnasts for their excellent results at the 2010 State Championships which was held over the long weekend. In level 7 Junior Emma placed 5th on beam and 5th floor, 9th overall, in level 7 Senior Tamara placed 5th bars, 8th overall and in level 8 Senior Samantha placed 5th bars, 5th beam, 5th floor, 6th vault and 5th overall. It was wonderful to see these gymnasts putting in some personal best performances....Well Done!!

Congratulations to Emma, Tamara and Samantha who have all qualified to compete at the 2010 Level 7-10 State Gymnastics Championships to be held on 12th-13th June at the State Sports Centre, Homebush.

Good luck to our National and State Levels 1-3 gymnasts as well as our Recreational and Pre Levels gymnasts who will be competing in their respective competitions on Sunday 30th May 2010.

Term 2 is now well underway with lots of events happening in and around the club. Good Luck to our level 7 - 10 gymnasts who will be competing in the second state trial this weekend at Penrith. We have other programs who are also looking forward to their competitions - our level 1 - 3 National and State stream gymnasts will be competing in the Gala Competition on the 29th/30th May and our Recreational and Pre levels gymnasts will be competing in the NSW RSL Novice Gymnastics Competition on Sunday 30th May.

Did you know we run GYMNASTICS PARTIES!! Our birthday parties have recieved excellent reviews from party goers and parents. Parties have exclusive use of the gym, which is set up with lots of fun and exciting circuits for the children. We cater for 4 - 12 years birthday parties, which run for 2 hours on a Sunday. Welcome to Term 2!! All classes commence back today. A warm welcome to all the new members who are joining us for term 2. We hope you thoroughly enjoy your time with us at gymnastics! We still have vacancies in selected classes, so if you wish to join the club in term 2, please email or phone the gym today.

Thank you to the families who participate in the annual ANZAC March through Hornsby which was held on Sunday 18th April, we hope to see more and more members join the gymnastics section in the march in 2011!

Our club newsletter will be out next week, to keep you up to date with all the news and information from around the club. We will also be sending this out via email to all club members who have provided us with an email address so keep you eye out for that!

Our Recreational Holiday Gymnastics Programs are now all FULLY BOOKED. Please phone or email the gym if you would like to enquire about another program or be sure to check back regularly to ensure that you don't miss out on a place in our Recreational Holiday Gymnastics Programs next holidays - be sure to get in quick to avoid disappointment!

Our classes have now concluded for Term 1 and the gym will be closed over the long weekend and re opened on Tuesday 6th April, with Term 2 commencing on Monday 19th April. If you have not already handed in your Term 2 re-enrolment form to secure your child's place in one of our Term 2 Programs, please phone the gym on 9476 6689 as we are currently in the process of filling any remaining places in classes with new members wishing to join the club.

Our April Holiday Gymnastics Program and Term 2 Enrolment forms are now available on the front page of our website. Places are still avaialble on all days for the holiday gymnastics program, so get your friends together and book in quickly so you don't miss out!

Congratulations to all the gymnasts who participated in the Recreational Skills Challenge on Sunday 21st March. It was wonderful to see so many gymnasts participating, having a go, trying their best and winning a medal! After lots of positive feedback from parents and gymnasts, we look forward to holding another event like this later in the year.

A reminder to all current members that if you wish to return to a gymnastics class in term 2, you must return to the office a re enrolment form by Thursday 1st April.

Term 1 classes will be running until Thursday 1st April. The gymn will be closed over the Easter long weekend from Friday 2nd April - Monday 5th April. the gym will re open for our holiday programs on tuesday 6th April 2010.

Term 2 classes will commence on Monday 19th April.

Our January Holiday Gymnastics Program is now up and running with all children having a wonderful time in the gym! Vacancies still exist for all the days of our holiday program so please phone the gym on 9476 6689 to book your child in for some great holiday fun!

Our Term 1 2010 programs are also available to book into with places available on most days. We have available our Kindy Gym, Kindy Rec, Recreational, Trampolining and Tumbling programs available. All Term 1 classes commence on Wednesday 27th Janaury 2010.

Term 4 classes for 2009 will finish up on Saturday 19th December.

The gym will be closed from Sunday 20th December 2009 until Monday 4th January 2010. For enquires during this period please email the club at our temporary email address hbygym@tpg.com.au or leave us a voice message on 9476 6689. We will endeavour to repsond to eveyone once we re open in the new year.

All classes are now available to book into for term 1 2010. To book, please download a 2010 Enrolment Pack from the front page of our website and follow the instructions inside. All days are currently available, however if you enrol into a day that is full at the time that we process the bookings then we will give you a call and offer you an alternative day.

The Hornsby RSL Youth Club, which our gymnastics section belongs to, will be holding a 50th ANNIVERSARY GALA DAY for all members and their friends on Sunday 8th November from 11am - 3pm at Galston Park. FREE entertainment, sausage sizzle and refreshments! Come and join us for a wonderful day!

We will be holding an in house RECREATIONAL COMPETITION for all members involved in our recreational and pre levels programs. This is always such a fun and exciting event for the children to participate in. The competition will be held on Sunday 22nd November, here at the gym. Entry forms are available now. CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR STATE STREAM GYMNASTS....

Nine girls represented Hornsby RSL YC Gymnastics at the State Stream State Championships over the past weekend. With ribbons awarded to each child based on their scores overall with Blue being the highest and then Gold, Green, Purple and Red. Our girls did exceptionally well with all the girls receiving either a Blue or Gold ribbon.

Welcome back to Term 3!

Over the school holidays children have been busy rolling, swinging and tumbling at the gym during our holiday workshops. A great time was had by all. A reminder to book early for these programs to avoid disappointment as many days were booked out. We look forward to seeing you back again next holidays.

A reminder that the gym has gone 'cashless' in Term 3 and all payments are to be made either by cheque or internet transfer.

Our popular holiday program is currently in full swing, children have been having a wonderful time in the program learning new gymnastics skills, playing games and participating in a range of different activites. The April program will continue to run through both weeks of the school holidays. If you missed out on a booking this time around, be sure to get in early next holidays so your child can join in on a healthy, fun and motivating holiday activity!! Our July holiday program will be available mid term 2.

All classes for term 2 commence on Tuesday 28th April 2009.

Term 2 classes - new places are now available in some classes including the kindy gym, recreational, tumbling and trampolining classes. We also have a few places available in our highly successful National and new State Stream Levels Program. For more information please phone the gym on 9476 6689 to enquire about booking your child into gymnastics for term 2.

Good Luck to our level 7 - 10 gymnasts who will be competing in state trials in the next couple of weeks.

Congratulations to our wonderful Kinder Gym Coaches and members, Hornsby RSL Youth Club Gymnastics has been nominated for the KINDERGYM CLUB OF THE YEAR at the 2008 Gymnastics NSW Annual awards. We are very proud of our fantastic Kinder Gym program at the club which is always so popular and has our members coming back for years! If you are interested in enrolling your child into Kinder Gym, we offer classes for 18mths through to 5 years. Limited places are still available. Bookings are taken on a first in first served basis - with full payment being required at the time of making your bookings.

Welcome back to everyone! We hope everyone had a relaxing and well deserved Christmas break. The gym is now re-opened for the new year and classes are back in full swing! Congratulations to our WAG Level 4 - 6 gymnasts for their fantastic results at the 2008 State Championships - In Level 4 senior Jaime placed 2nd vault! In level 5 junior Alex placed 4th Bars, 6th Vault, 6th floor and 5th overall! Cathy in level 5 intermediate placed 6th bars, while Jess placed 2nd floor, 4th vault and 6th bars! Dior in level 5 senior placed 4th vault! And in level 6 senior Teresa was the named the State Champion on the beam (our 5th state beam champion this year!) as well as 6th on floor and 6th overall!

Good Luck to our level 4, 5 and 7 teams who will be competing next week in the National Clubs Competition to be held at the AIS, Canberra. We would like to wish all our gymnasts, coaches, judges and chaperones a wonderful trip!

CONGRATULATIONS to our wonderful levels gymnasts for their recent competition results -

The 2008 Level 1 - 3 State Championships was held over the weekend and our club had some fantastic results including one of our gymnasts being named the Level 1B Senior STATE CHAMPION!! Congratulations Emily who also placed 1st on the bars, beam and floor!! Rose in Level 1 Jnr was named the State Champion on the beam, while Bailey placed 6th on the beam. Erin in Level 2B Jnr placed 2nd beam, with Sherrie in Level 2B Snr placing 4th on bars, 6th floor and 6th overall. Our level 3 gymnasts also had some great results with Ursula in Level 3B Jnr named the State Champion on the beam and 6th overall, with Lauren in Level 3B Snr placing 4th on the beam!! To date, in 2008 our club has produced two State Champions, four State Beam Champions and one National Floor Champion!

The Border Challenge Competiton was also held over the weekend in Caloundra, Queensland. Congratulations to Breanna (Level 7) who after two days of competition had a combined result of 2nd vault, 3rd beam, 2nd floor and 4th overall! Well done!

Our popular holiday program has very few remaining places with nearly all days now fully booked - please phone the gym for the up to date availability.

Term 3 classes finish up on Saturday 27th September, with Term 4 classes commencing on Monday 13th October.

We have held our 2009 planning meeting and have decided on our NEW timetable for 2009......we have several new programs on offer and lots more places available which we are excited about!! The 2009 timetable will be relaesed during term 4 so keep your eye out!!

What an extremely busy term we are having, with all our members involved in so many fun and exciting activities!! Congratulations to Jessica who competed in the National Championships this term. Jessica was named the level 8 National Floor Champion!! and also placed 5th on beam and 5th overall. A wonderful effort!!

Congratulations also to our level 1 - 3 gymnasts who have completed their state trials with wonderful results. Our gymnasts are now preparing for the State Championships to be held on 20th - 21st September.

With the Beijing Olympic Games now over, our club has had an influx of inspired young children, all wanting to get involved in the wonderfully eye catching sport of gymnastics! Our Kindy Gym members experienced a little of the games fever as well, with an Olympic games theme running this term. The children had a wonderful time trying out so many different Olympic sports!!

Our Recreational members have been very busy this term preparing for the Recreational Club Competition which will be held on Saturday 30th August!! With 70 children entered, we are looking forward to a wonderful, fun anf friendly event!

Good Luck and have a great time to those recreational gymnasts who have also been selected to compete in the NSW RSL Novice Gymnastics Competition to be held at North Ryde RSL on Sunday 14th September.
